"hamstring autograft ACL recon"

So, you're like, what, 10% bionic now? :)
" I'm always the beet after exertion..." Excellent description.

Onotob claims that his childhood was FRIGHTENING; he was AFRAID that my hairy knuckles would be hereditary. They were. He Shaves.
<grin> Maybe 1% bionic, thanks to the three huge titanium screws they used to attach the replacement ACL (a braided bundle of my own hamstring muscle fibers) to my tibia and femur. I wish I had a copy of the x-rays, and if I ever get a chance I'll ask for a set 'cuz it's pretty cool. I can run a metal studfinder over my left leg and it triggers where each of the screws is (no problem in airports, though, so far.)
My daughter will have to contend with my beet-turning tendencies and my husband's hairy knuckles. Thankfully, she shouldn't have to deal with the Patrick Stewart lack of hair on her noggin' (poor hubby... everyone in his family has more hair than they know what to do with, but he had to get male pattern baldness by 25. I just like that we're finally at a point where I can buzz his hair and save us the silly $$ he used to pay for a random hairdresser to do the same thing.)

I get a bit flush from exercise... usually more so when I do trainer sessions in the evening. I was wondering, how much fluid are you drinking per session? I think I'm under-hydrated a lot of times, which may contribute to my problems. I'm also still working on my breathing... that's a whole other story.
I'm definitely not hydrating enough, and I should probably have a fan or something on me--I miss the wind-provided cooling of actual rides!

I'm too much of a newbie to worry about breathing, other than, you know, remembering to DO it. ;)
yea, If I do a 2 hour workout I will be a bit flush if I don't hydrate enough.

Try drinking more water, and breathing deepr (actually concentrate on your breathing).

Although, I warn that you can faint by breathing too deeply.

Sadly, I get that red even after a 30 minute workout, if the workout is one that gets my heartrate into Zone 4+ (for my age and such, that's roughly 150+ bpm).

I am perpetually dehydrated, even when not exercising, and the only time that wasn't the case was during my pregnancy with Sara (when you're supposed to drink tons of water, and I did.)

I had childhood asthma so I don't know if that has anything to do with it, like my lungs are slightly damaged or less efficient due to damage from that.
